  • Recommended for experienced welders or supervisors
Test Requirements
Written:
  • 1 Hr – 25 MCQs on welding processes and safety
Practical:
  • 4 Hrs – Welding of structural joints and plates
  • Candidates to perform welding using SMAW and/or MIG techniques according to drawing specifications
  • Evaluation based on joint preparation, welding position, bead quality, and compliance with safety rules
Scope of Training/Assessment
Written:
  • 6 hrs (2 evenings 5.30-8.30pm)
  • Principles of electricity and arc welding
  • Types of welding processes and equipment
  • Welding symbols and drawings
  • Material properties and joint design
  • Welding defects and prevention
  • Testing and inspection methods
  • Safety and PPE
Practical:
  • 2 days (8.30am-5.30pm)
  • Briefing on BCA test project requirements and safety standards
  • Hands-on welding for various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical)
  • Training on correct electrode selection and arc control
  • Inspection and correction of weld defects
